Mango Almond Milkshake


 

What do you prefer to drink to beat the summer heat? Of course, I’m not talking about the chilled beers or soft drinks! Milkshakes or smoothies are obviously a healthy go-to option for when you need a chilled, refreshing drink. And this mango almond milkshake definitely makes the cut! The sweetness of the juicy, ripened mangoes topped with some crispy bits of almonds makes a beautiful, reinvigorating combination! Do try this milkshake before you miss out on the mangoes of this season! A very quick and simple drink, to keep you energized for the rest of the day. Don’t stress, all you need is mangoes & some almond milk. Yes, it’s that easy.

 

For milkshakes, it’s always better to choose the variety of mangoes that are not too fibrous, i.e, the mangoes that are ripened, juicy and sweet.

 

Wash and peel the mangoes. Slice them and discard the seed. Blend them into a purée. Add some almond milk, sugar and saffron (optional), and blend it into a thick shake. If you’re using plain milk, then soak the almonds in water for a few hours or even overnight, peel them, and then add to the plain milk. You can also use the flaked almonds that you get at your local supermarket. Adjust sugar according to the sweetness of your mangoes.

 

Add some ice cubes while blending if you want to enjoy it chilled. Decorate it with flaked almonds and a few saffron strings. And your drink is ready! Enjoy 😀
